RDF Plant

4 Victory Boulevard, Portsmouth, VA : 393-3100

From Norfolk/Virginia Beach

  • Take 264 West through the downtown tunnel
  • Travel on 264 west for approximately 3 miles to the Victory Boulevard exit
  • At the bottom of the exit make a left onto Victory
  • Continue on Victory going through several lights. A major landmark to look for is the intersection of Victory Blvd. and George Washington Highway. There will be a Wendy’s and McDonald’s restaurant at this intersection. When you reach it, you are less than one mile from the facility
  • Continue on Victory Blvd.
  • After approximately one mile, you will see the RDF Plant/Operations complex on the left side of the street
  • Follow the signage to the appropriate parking areas

From Chesapeake

  • Follow I-64 East to I-464 North (going towards downtown Norfolk)
  • Follow for approximately 3 miles and take the Poindexter West exit (exit 4B)
  • You are now on Elm Avenue
  • Go through the Jordan Bridge toll plaza ($.75)
  • Follow Elm to the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Elm Avenue; take a left
  • The RDF Plant/Operations complex will be on the right side of the street
  • Follow the signage to the appropriate parking areas

From Western Communities

  • Follow 58 East to I-264 East
  • Take 264 East and follow for approximately 3 miles to the Victory Boulevard exit
  • At the bottom of the exit make a right onto Victory Boulevard
  • Continue on Victory Boulevard going through several lights. A major landmark to look for is the intersection of Victory and George Washington Highway. There will be a Wendy’s and McDonald’s restaurants at this intersection. When you reach it, you are less than one mile from the facility

  • Pass through the intersection of George Washington Highway and Victory Boulevard.
  • The RDF Plant/Operations complex will be on the right side of the street
  • Follow the signage to the appropriate parking areas

Power Plant

From Virginia Beach / Norfolk

  • Take 264 West through the downtown tunnel

  • Make the first left into Burtons Point Road (this is marked with a sign)
  • - _ mile from Jordan Bridge
  • Make a left into fenced-in gate "SPSA Deliverers" follow the road to the guard post the guard will direct you from there.

From Chesapeake

Regional Landfill and Suffolk Transfer Station

1 Bob Foeller Drive Suffolk, VA : 539-9373
Suffolk Transfer Station, Ferrous Metal Recycling Plant, Methane Recovery Plant and the Tire Processing Facility are located at the Regional Landfill.

From Virginia Beach Norfolk

  • Take I-264 West towards the downtown tunnel to Portsmouth
  • Continue on 264 west through the tunnel.
  • 264 West will end and 664 North will begin.
  • Stay to your right following signs to Route 58 West to Suffolk.
  • Take Route 58 West will pass the Hampton Roads Regional Airport on your right.
  • And passing the truck weighing station also on your right.
  • The next right turn will be Bob Foeller Drive just past the truck weighing station. Look for the flashing yellow lights on your right and the sign reading "Regional Landfill" and turn right into this road.
  • Stop at the Scalehouse to check in, and the attendant will direct you to the Landfill office.

From Chesapeake

  • Take I-64 West to 664 North
  • Cross over the High Rise Bridge
  • Continuing on 64 West Follow (64 West will end and 664 North will begin)
  • Merge to your far right lane following signs Rout 58 West (Bowers Hill/Suffolk)
  • Take Route 58 Suffolk
  • Continue on Route 58, you will pass the Hampton Roads Regional Airport on your right. And you will pass the truck weighing, station also on your right.
  • The next right turn will be Bob Foeller Drive just past the truck weighing station. Look for the flashing yellow lights on your right and the sign reading "Regional Landfill" and turn right into this road.
  • Stop at the Scalehouse to check in, and the attendant will direct you to the Landfill office.

From Portsmouth

  • From RDF parking lot, turn right onto Victory Boulevard.
  • Continue going straight, through the Victory Boulevard/George Washington Highway intersection.
  • From Victory, make a left turn on Greenwood Drive.
  • Stay to your right 264 West will merge into Route 58 Suffolk.
  • Continue on Route 58, you will pass the Hampton Roads Regional Airport on your right. And you will pass the truck weighing station also on your right.
  • The next right turn will be Bob Foeller Drive just past the truck weighing station. Look for the flashing yellow lights on your right and the sign reading "Regional Landfill" and turn right into this road.
  • Stop at the Scalehouse to check in, and the attendant will direct you to the Landfill office.

From Western Communities

  • Take 664 South to 58 West
  • Following signs to Suffolk Rout 58 take exit 13 A
  • Continue on Route 58, you will pass the Hampton Roads Regional Airport on your right. And you will pass the truck weighing station also on your right.

  • 264 West to 64 West (going towards downtown Suffolk)
  • Take second Greenbrier Parkway exit.
  • From Greenbrier Parkway, cross over Volvo Parkway
  • Make the first right this will be Professional Place (Greenbrier Presbyterian Church is on the corner).
  • The Recycling Office is on the left (look for the SPSA sign and a flag pole out front).

From Portsmouth

  • I-464 South towards (Chesapeake)
  • Take first Greenbrier Parkway exit

  • Make a right onto Executive Drive, follow to the first left this will be Hollowell Lane
  • Make a left onto Hollowell Lane and follow to the end; transfer station is located on the left

From Portsmouth

  • From 664 to 64 West headed south (toward Virginia Beach/Norfolk).
  • Take the first Greenbrier Parkway South exit.
  • From Greenbrier Parkway, cross over Volvo Parkway
  • Continue on Greenbrier Parkway to 2nd right will be Executive Drive

From Western Service Area

  • From 58 West and 464 South to 64 West headed south (toward Virginia Beach/Norfolk).
  • Take 64 West to the first Greenbrier Parkway South exit.
  • From Greenbrier Parkway, cross over Volvo Parkway
  • Continue on Greenbrier Parkway to 2nd right will be Executive Drive
  • Make a right onto Executive Drive, follow to the first left this will be Hollowell Lane
  • Make a left onto Hollowell Lane and follow to the end; transfer station is located on the left

Virginia Beach Yard Waste Processing and Mulching Facility

1991 Jake Sears Road : 424-4631

From Norfolk/Virginia

  • Take I-264 to 64 East
  • Take 64 East to the second Indian River exit (Regency University)
  • Follow Indian River to the second stoplight and turn
  • Turn right onto Centerville Turnpike (Regency University will be to your right)
  • Past the University, the first asphalt road on your right will be Jake Sears Road
  • Make a right on Jake Sears Road and follow road to Virginia Beach Landfill

From Portsmouth

  • Take I-264 West to 64 East

From Portsmouth/Norfolk

  • Take I-264 East towards Virginia Beach Ocean Front
  • Follow I-264 E. for approximately 10 miles
  • Take the Virginia Beach Blvd/Laskin Road exit #20.
  • As you exit keep right at the fork in the ramp follow the sign that says Virginia Beach Blvd.
  • Merge onto Virginia Beach Blvd. take your very next right into the V.D.O.T. park and ride parking lot
  • Follow signs into transfer station

From Chesapeake/Western Communities

  • Take 58 East, 664 South to 64 East towards the Virginia Beach Ocean Front
  • Take the Virginia Beach Blvd/Laskin Road exit #20.

  • Take I-264 East towards Ocean Front
  • Take the South Rosemont Road exit - 411
  • Follow Rosemont Road towards Tidewater Community College located to your right at the stoplight
  • The next light is Concert Drive — there is a SPSA sign
  • Make a right onto Concert Drive and station is on your right

From Chesapeake/Western Communities

  • Take 58 East, 664 South to 64 East towards the Virginia Beach Ocean Front
  • Take the South Rosemont Road exit - 411
  • Follow Rosemont Road towards Tidewater Community College located to your right at the stoplight
  • The next light is Concert Drive — there is a SPSA sign
  • Make a right onto Concert Drive and station is on your right  

Norfolk Transfer Station

3136 Woodland Avenue, Norfolk, VA : 623-6610

From Norfolk/Virginia Beach

  • Take I-264 West towards downtown Norfolk
  • Get off on the Ballentine Blvd. exit turn right on Ballentine Blvd.
  • Continue on Ballentine Blvd. approximately 1/3 of a mile passing Vulcan Stone Co. on your right side.
  • Go through the traffic light crossing over Virginia Beach Blvd.
  • Just past the SPCA on the right hand side you will see Woodland Ave.
  • Turn right on that Woodland Ave and follow it till you come to an overpass and a big yellow building with a brown ring around the top of it. That is Norfolk Transfer Station
  • Follow the service road to the Scale Attendants station for instructions

From Chesapeake

  • Take 464 -North to 264-East towards downtown Norfolk
  • Continue on 264- East to Ballentine Blvd. exit turn left on Ballentine Blvd.
  • Continue on Ballentine Blvd. approximately 1/3 of a mile passing Vulcan Stone Co. on your right side.

  • Continue on 264 (will end and 664 will begins)
  • Stay to your right following signs to Route 58 West to Suffolk.
  • Route 58 West will pass the Hampton Roads Regional Airport on your right.
  • And passing the truck weighing station also on your right.
  • Follow 58 West to Armory drive exit
  • Make a left at the bottom of the ramp
  • Go approx. 2/10ths of a mile and turn in the next driveway on the right past Lee White Trucking
  • Franklin Transfer Station is just up ahead

From Chesapeake

  • Stay to your right following signs to Route 58 West to Suffolk.

  • Get off at Rt.10 exit; follow for approximately 10 miles
  • Remain on Route 17 and you will travel through Smithfield
  • At Route 258 South, take a left
  • Follow for approximately 2 miles to Rt. 620 (Foursquare Rd)
  • Travel approximately 1.5 mi.
  • The Isle of Wight Transfer Station is on the right, 13191 Foursquare Road

  • Make the first right into the driveway of SPSA, Hampton Inn and Motel 6. Continue back to the third driveway on the left this is parking lot of SPSA where the entrance to the Regional Office Building is located.
