The Regional Landfill began operations in January 1985. Approximately 2,000 tons of waste is received daily at the 833 acre site with 151 acres of permitted landfill area located at 1 Bob Foeller
Drive in Suffolk.

Hours of Operation
- Residential household waste accepted Monday - Sunday, 7:00 a.m. -
4:00 p.m. (Starting October 3, 2009 the landfill will close
at noon Saturday and re-open Monday morning, with NO Sunday hours)
- Open holidays until 12:00 noon; with the exception of Thanksgiving,
Christmas and New Year's Day. On those three holidays the regional landfill
is closed.
