Residents can dispose of automobile
tires by bringing them to the SPSA Tire
Processing Facility located at the Regional
Landfill, 1 Bob Foeller
Drive in Suffolk, or any of SPSA's transfer
stations (excluding Oceana Transfer
Station).
Please note that Norfolk Transfer Station
is open for free disposal for Norfolk residents
on the weekends only. To view the hours

To dispose of automobile tires
residents must abide by the following:
Residents can bring a maximum of four automobile
tires per trip.
Tires can be brought to the Regional
Landfill in Suffolk or any
of SPSA's transfer stations (excluding
Oceana Transfer Station) for disposal.
Only automobile tires will be disposed of
for free; residents will not be able to
bring in heavy truck or off-road tires
for free.
If you have more than four tires or have
large tractor and off road tires, they must
be brought to the Regional Landfill and
there will be a charge for those type of

Residents must show a drivers license or
a valid ID that indicates that you are a
resident of the SPSA's member communities.
Residents under SPSA’s Resident Disposal
Policy have unlimited opportunities to dispose
of their waste, if it meets the requirement
of the policy. To review the policy, please
click here.
The processed tires will be used as supplemental
daily landfill cover or used as tire derived
fuel (TDF).
